Request to Join a Team

Overview

Teams and team membership continuously evolve to keep up with organizational needs.  It can be difficult to ensure organizational integrity by solely relying on Admins to manage it.

The Request to Join solution aims to enable a distributed team membership model whereby:

  • Users are empowered to see what teams exist and request to join a team or teams
  • Administration bottlenecks are reduced with a seamless approval flow for team leaders to manage requests
  • Centralized admin controls to approve requests in bulk or work through the queue

With this feature, non-members of a team can proactively request to join a team rather than waiting for a manager or admin to add them first. This feature can be enabled upon request; contact your CSM for more information.
