Import Jira, GitHub, or Asana Data to a Workstream in the Teams Module

Overview

You can use the Teams Module to import data from Jira Cloud*, GitHub, and Asana into WorkBoard Workstreams. Then, use the Sync option from the Workstream menu anytime to easily manage your work. 

Import Data to Workstream 

  1. Navigate to the Teams page.
  2. Click the Workstreams tab.
  3. Click the Kebab on the right hand side of the page.
  4. Choose Import workstream.

  5. Select whether you’d like to import from Jira, GitHub, or Asana.

Additional Steps for Jira

  1. Connect to a Jira instance by entering the Public Jira URL, Username, and Jira API token.

  2. Click Connect.
  3. Choose whether you’d like to use Basic or JQL for integration mapping.
  4. Choose whether you’d like to map to a Story, Epic, or Project.
  5. Map the Jira Workflow with WorkBoard Status.

  6. Name your workstream and decide whether you’d like to Sync tasks from Jira and convert them to Action Items in WorkBoard.

  7. Click Import

Additional Steps for GitHub

  1. Enter your personal access token and enterprise URL to access your GitHub account.

  2. Follow the prompts to sync your intended data from Gitlab. 

Additional Steps for Asana

  1. Enter your Personal Access Token to access your Asana account.

  2. Follow the prompts to sync your intended data from Asana.

*Importing Jira tasks is supported for Jira Cloud at this time and not compatible with Jira Data Center.
