Overview

You’ve set a Strategy and some time has passed – based on the iteration cadence you selected, it’s time to add updates to your Strategy to reflect the progress and status of items supporting your pillars. 

Note: WorkBoard Strategy is a separate add-on product. If you’re interested in WorkBoard Strategy, contact your CSM or sales representative. 

Update a Strategy

1. Navigate to https://strategy.myworkboard.com/
2. Select the Strategy you’d like to update

Update Mission, Vision, and Values

1. Select Overview
2. Click the Pencil icon
   
   
3. Adjust each section as necessary
4. Select Add

Update Outcomes

1. Select an Outcome from the pillars tab.
2. Click Update progress and update the actual progress by entering the value in the “Actual” field, or dragging the slider accordingly.
   
   
3. Click Update progress to save changes
4. (Optional) Add a comment below Activity and press enter to save

Update Assumptions

1. Select an Assumption from the pillars tab.
   
2. Click Update status 
3. Select Unknown, Proven, or Disproven
   
   
4. Select Update Status
5. (Optional) Add a comment below Activity and press enter to save

Update Investment Plans

1. Select an Investment Plan from the pillars tab.
2. Click Update progress and update the actual progress by entering the value in the “Actual” field, or dragging the slider accordingly.
   
   
3. Click Update progress to save changes
4. (Optional) Add a comment below Activity and press enter to save

Update Risks

1. Select a Risk and click Assess Risk
2. Assess Impact and Likelihood of the risk, and add an input from the following options in the dropdown:
   1. Impact = The severity of the consequence if the risk were realized
   2. Likelihood = The probability the the risk will occur

3. View your assessed risk from the main landing page, or click into a risk to see the full details and updates.
