Overview
You’ve set a Strategy and some time has passed – based on the iteration cadence you selected, it’s time to add updates to your Strategy to reflect the progress and status of items supporting your pillars.
Note: WorkBoard Strategy is a separate add-on product. If you’re interested in WorkBoard Strategy, contact your CSM or sales representative.
Update a Strategy
- Navigate to https://strategy.myworkboard.com/
- Select the Strategy you’d like to update
Update Mission, Vision, and Values
- Select Overview
- Click the Pencil icon
- Adjust each section as necessary
- Select Add
Update Outcomes
- Select an Outcome from the pillars tab.

Click Update progress and update the actual progress by entering the value in the “Actual” field, or dragging the slider accordingly.
- Click Update progress to save changes
- (Optional) Add a comment below Activity and press enter to save
Update Assumptions
- Select an Assumption from the pillars tab.
- Click Update status

Select Unknown, Proven, or Disproven
- Select Update Status
- (Optional) Add a comment below Activity and press enter to save
Update Investment Plans
- Select an Investment Plan from the pillars tab.

Click Update progress and update the actual progress by entering the value in the “Actual” field, or dragging the slider accordingly.
- Click Update progress to save changes
- (Optional) Add a comment below Activity and press enter to save
Update Risks
- Select a Risk and click Assess Risk

Assess Impact and Likelihood of the risk, and add an input from the following options in the dropdown:
- Impact = The severity of the consequence if the risk were realized
- Likelihood = The probability the the risk will occur
3. View your assessed risk from the main landing page, or click into a risk to see the full details and updates.
