Overview
Adding content and sticky notes in OKR Canvas allow you, your team, and additional contributors to compile ideas and easily brainstorm together.
Sticky notes can be added, duplicated, grouped, and moved together for quick and digestible reference. Shells and templates provide the ability to effectively author, display, and organize OKRs.
Add Content in OKR Canvas
Add Sticky Notes
Add sticky notes to canvas using the toolbar on the left-hand side of the screen. You can either drag and drop a sticky note from the panel display onto the canvas, or select on the sticky note to automatically place it at your center field of view.
Note: Upon creation or duplication of a sticky note, the author or duplicator's name respectively will appear on the note. While the note can be edited by anyone on the canvas, the original author's name will remain.
Change the Color of a Sticky Note
Select the sticky note to initiate the properties menu, where you'll see the option to change the sticky note color.
Change the Text Size in a Sticky Note
Select the sticky note to initiate the properties menu. Select the A+ icon to increase text size, and select the A- icon to decrease text size.
Duplicate a Sticky Note
Select the sticky note to initiate the properties menu, then select the pages icon to duplicate the sticky note.
You can also duplicate a sticky note by selecting the note and using hotkeys Control+C and Control+V. The duplicated sticky note will be pasted at the cursor location.
Note: If you duplicate a sticky note by another author, your name will then appear on the duplicated note.
Resize Sticky Notes
Proportionally resize sticky notes to fit more of ideas into a single view.
- Focus on a sticky note to highlight the guide points on the corner of the sticky note
- Select the guide points and drag away or toward the sticky note center to expand or contract the sticky note size
- Edit the text size as needed
Outline or Group of Specific Areas on a Canvas
Select the "Tt' icon on the "Add text header" option to create headings to outline specific areas of content on a Canvas.
Lock Template Positions in Place on a Canvas
Select the lock icon to keep Reflect & Reset and other templates in a fixed position on your Canvas.

Add Objective and Key Result Shells and Templates
Use the toolbar on the left-hand side of the screen to add OKR shells and templates to the canvas.

Fill out Objectives or Key Result Shells
There are multiple ways to populate objectives and key results within the shell and template.
- First, drag and drop a sticky note with text into the objective or key result field of the shell.
- Second, directly select the objective or key result field and type in desired text.
Blank sticky notes won't be added to the template. You can modify objective and key result text in shells and templates at any time by selecting the field and editing the text directly.
