Changing Agent Settings

Agent Settings Overview

WorkBoard makes it easy to tailor your Agent experience. There are 2 main ways to modify agent settings:

  • Conversationally

  • Manually

Anytime you are chatting with your agent, you can ask it to summarize its current settings, and you can ask it to modify the settings. If you’d rather modify the settings directly, you can do so in the Agent Settings menu.

Accessing Agent Settings

There are 2 ways to access agent settings:

  • From within the agent, click “Manage responsibilities” in the bottom left-hand side-panel.

  • From within the agent, click the agent’s name in the upper left, and then select → Edit agent

Changing notification preferences

Use the “General” tab to customize your notification preferences. Here you can control where the agent (Chief of Staff or Leadership Coach) will proactively reach out to you.

Fire agent

Is your agent not cutting it? Time to part ways? Use the “Dismiss agent” option on the “General” tab to have the agent clear its desk.

Modify agent responsibilities [Chief of Staff only]

While you can always ask the Chief of Staff to perform tasks conversationally, you can also have your Chief of Staff reach out and handle jobs proactively. Use the “Responsibilities” tab to control what jobs the agent does without being asked.

Changing team-specific settings [Chief of Staff only]

You can tweak a number of team-specific settings for the Chief of Staff. These include:

  • OKR cycle: Turn this setting on to have the Chief of Staff proactively help your team schedule OKR kickoffs, and generally manage the OKR cycle.

  • Slack / MS Teams channels: In addition to communicating with you directly, the agent can also reach out to the entire team when it does things like share a Canvas with them, or share a Scorecard with them. Add specific MS Teams or Slack channels here to let your Chief of Staff reach out directly to your team.

  • Pre-Read / Ping notification timing: Set your Chief of Staff to send you a pre-read the day before your weekly team meeting to show up fully briefed. Set the Chief of staff to Ping your team the day after Key Result updates are due – it will only ping them if the Key Results still need to be updated – to keep your information current.
