Key Result Detail Page

The Key Result details page shows the characteristics of an individual key result on one page. In most places on the platform, clicking on the name of a key result will take you to this page. From an Objective pop-up, you will need to click “View result details” to access this page.

Let’s go through the elements of the page:

Key result name and value

On the top of the page, you see the most important thing — the key result's current value and name. The color of the value is the key result’s current RAG rating. Clicking on the value will open a pop-up showing more information about how the RAG is calculated.

Key result chart, Update, Ping, & Confidence

Moving down, we have the key result chart. This shows the progress trend on the key result from start value all the way to (hopefully) achieving the target.

Depending on your role on the key result (viewer, updater, owner), you may see some critical actions listed below the chart:

  • Update: This will open the Update popup where you can update the key result
  • Ping: If you are waiting on an Update, clicking Ping will send a nudge to the key result updater telling them that they need to provide an update to keep things moving.
  • Confidence flag: This is a critical leading indicator of success on a Key result. If you own or update a a key result, click this to provide your confidence that the key result will be achieved. Learn more here.

Comment & Activity thread

Beneath the chart and the actions, is the Comment field and Activity thread.

  • The Activity thread shows all the Updates and Comments on the Key Result — take a look to get an overview of the story of this particular key result.
  • Use comments to discuss the key result, ask questions, share information, and generally keep the conversation going.

Key result details pane

The right hand side of the page lists out key information about the key result, including:

  • Owner — this is the person responsible for driving the business result
  • Data source or Updater — this will tell you where the data for this key result comes from
  • Objective — the name of the Objective this key result supports
  • Relationships — Key results often have dependency relationships to other results, workstreams, actions and more. You can see and adjust these relationships at the bottom of the key result details pane. Learn more here.

Please note that the functionality above depends on the KR's ownership or the user's permission on the team.
