Elevate Performance with Feedback

Overview

WorkBoard enables every manager to have and be a great coach, guiding teams and individuals to their best outcomes. A key part of that is feedback.

WorkBoard makes it easy to share and receive fact-based feedback. People can give spontaneous feedback on specific results, actions or objectives to connect the words with the work.

  • Request feedback to understand performance and impact
  • Recognize efforts and progress of others
  • Provide feedback on specific outcomes
  • Make your feedback public or private

Giving Feedback

Where to Give Feedback

You can give Feedback from practically anywhere in WorkBoard. There are two main ways:

  • Directly to one or more people or a teams: Click Create > Feedback > Give Feedback
  • On results and work: from an Objective, Key Result, or Action Item, click the kebab menu, and select Give Feedback

Selecting a Feedback recipient

WorkBoard makes it simple to send a Feedback to a single person, or to multiple teams. To select recipients, click “+” at the top of the feedback window. From the search, you can select:

  • An individual person
  • Multiple people
  • An individual team
  • Combinations of the above!

Everyone you select will receive the feedback and be able to see who else received it.

Feedback visibility

When sending Feedback, you can choose from the following visibility settings:

  • Visible to everyone: Visible to anyone in your organization when they look at the recipient’s profile page
  • Recipients + their managers: Visible only to the sender, the recipient, and the recipient’s direct manager
  • Private: Visible only to sender and recipient

Use Co-Author to help refine your Feedback

If you’ve drafted some feedback, but you need help getting the wording just right, ask Co-Author to help (available with Intelligent Enterprise). Click the Co-Author button and pick from the options – Co-Author can help make the feedback more fun, or can help make it more direct, if that’s what’s appropriate.

See your Feedback or Seeing someone else’s Feedback

If you’ve sent or received Feedback, you can easily see it from anywhere in the platform. From the top navigation bar, simply click Teamwork > Feedback to get to your Feedback page. From here, you can see all the feedback you have sent and received, as well as any pending requests.

To see another person’s feedback, simply go to their Profile page, find the section called Feedback and click View all.

Requesting Feedback

Requesting Feedback is just as simple as giving Feedback. There are 2 main ways:

  • Click Create > Feedback > Request Feedback
  • From an Objective, Key Result, or Action Item, click the kebab menu, and select Request Feedback

This will open a new Feedback modal. From here, you can select who you want to get Feedback from. To select users or teams, click “+” at the top of the feedback window. From the search, you can select:

  • An individual person
  • Multiple people
  • An individual team
  • Combinations of the above!

Everyone you select will receive a feedback request.

When you send a Feedback request, you can include an optional request message explaining what you would like Feedback on.

Responding to a Feedback Request

If your Feedback is requested, you will receive a notification, as well as an Action Card on your My Objectives page. You will also see Feedback requests on your Feedback Page.

From your Feedback page, click on a Feedback request, and you will be able to give feedback the same way as noted above.
