Overview
Scorecards empower organizations to streamline performance tracking and enable data-informed decision-making. Now, with multi-period Scorecards, users can effortlessly collate related Key Results (KRs) and integrate multiple time periods in a single row to facilitate long-term strategic planning and performance analysis. Multi-period Scorecards offer a centralized and efficient system to view, manage, and interpret multi-period data without losing the essence of individual KRs.
Multi-Period Scorecards are an optional add-on. Please contact your WorkBoard Customer Success Manager for more information.
Getting Started
To create a multi-period Scorecard, you can select the option when creating a new Scorecard or by converting a historical single-period Scorecard into multi-period.
Creating a Scorecard
A Scorecard can be created in two ways -- from the Scorecard landing or by selecting Create > Scorecard.
To create a Scorecard from the landing page:
- Navigate to Meetings & Reviews from the top of any page
- Select Scorecards then +New dropdown in the upper right-hand corner
- Choose Scorecard from the dropdown
- Select Multi-period Scorecard
- Alternately, you can also select the dropdown within a Single-Period Scorecard to change it to a Multi-Period Scorecard
- You can search for an existing data set, or click to Create a new result set
- When creating a new result set, you can only select 1 Key Result from the same time period (e.g. Q2 and Q3 FY23 are acceptable, but Q2 and Q2 FY23 are not because they are from the same time period)
- Change the name of your dataset by clicking 'New Results Set' and inputting a title
- Use the search field to locate Key Results by name, owner, or team. Refine your search using the filter icon to pull in results for a specific time period.
-
Best practice: for multi-period Key Results, name each interval starting with the quarter and then a differentiating name (e.g. Q1: Achieve 100% attendance on All-Hands calls).
- For multi-period Key Results that have an annual Objective time period, use the filter option for FYxx (e.g. FY24) to pull in all relevant quarterly Key Results.
